On Monday, Lewis was back behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car but this time he was taking part in a very different kind of race; with a Bombardier Learjet.
Lewis was at Farnborough Air Show with his Partner Bombardier to demonstrate the speed and agility of both high performance machines. While he was driving his Vodafone McLaren Mercedes at full tilt, the Learjet 60SR flew 200 feet above him.
Speaking after the race, Lewis said, "I was sitting there on the limiter, I couldn't see where the plane was but I heard it was very, very good.
Between driving the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes and travelling to my race destinations in the Learjet, I've grown quite used to spending time in high performance machines. This event really illustrates my role as the Learjet brand ambassador and brings home the message that speed is everything."
