At the Australian Grand Prix, he took pole and went on to win comfortably. However, Ferrari soon became McLaren's rivals and Hamilton had disappointing results in Malaysia, Bahrain, Spain and Turkey. He turned it around in Monaco 2008 where he crossed the line first. He then went on to win the British Grand Prix and the Shanghai race, and at the final event of the season in Brazil he came in fifth. This was enough for Hamilton win the World Championship at the age of 23.
